PROFAMIL: Rebuilding Sexual and Reproductive Health Clinics in Haiti

As a leader in the field of sexual and reproductive healthcare, PROFAMIL has provided low-cost, quality services since 1984. PROFAMIL operates clinics in Port-au-Prince, Jacmel, and Port-de-Paix that provide family planning, early detection of breast and cervical cancer, pre-and-post natal services, and voluntary counseling and testing for HIV/AIDS. In rural areas, a network of health promoters and mobile health clinics provide family planning and basic care, often providing the only healthcare available in these remote communities.

Because of a large increase in patients, skyrocketing rent costs, and insufficient workspace, PROFAMIL is relocating the clinics in Port-au-Prince and Jacmel. The new clinics will allow PROFAMIL to provide expanded services to clients through more consultation rooms, and on-site laboratories.
